ABOUT

I've worked in non-fiction filmmaking for over 25 years. With a keen eye for a poetic shot and a stickler for a great-paced scene, I've gravitated towards visual storytelling since I was a kid. I aim to surprise viewers with unexpected editing choices and adhere to a tight narrative that keeps an audience invested in what happens next. But mostly, in collaborating with filmmakers, I love finding hidden stories in their footage and showcasing a character’s emotional journey.

Films and series I've edited have aired on Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Peacock, Discovery+, PBS, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, the National Geographic Channel, Lifetime, OWN, and more. Career highlights include Emmy nominations for
CAPTIVE AUDIENCE and SLAVE GIRLS OF INDIA; Lead Editor credits on THE PIKE COUNTY MURDERS and BATALI: THE FALL OF A SUPERSTAR CHEF; a Series Editor credit on Oprah Winfrey's BELIEF; an IDA Best Episodic Series Award for OUR AMERICA; a Best Documentary Award at the Tribeca Film Festival and Independent Lens airing of CHIEFS; a Gracie Award for SLAVE GIRLS OF INDIA; a Cine Golden Eagle award and POV airing of AMERICAN ALOHA: HULA BEYOND HAWAII; a Margaret Mead Film Festival screening of NORTH KOREA: BEYOND THE DMZ; a Human Rights Watch Film Festival screening of 900 WOMEN; and an editing Emmy nomination for the PBS series children’s series, READING RAINBOW.

I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a BA in English. After college, I immersed myself in photography classes at the International Center of Photography. Currently, I live in Brooklyn, NY.
